Just Between Friends Maternity Consignment Franchise Offers “Buy Back” of Recalled Graco Strollers
The largest maternity consignment franchise is buying backing recalled children’s items at its sales events nationwide
Just Between Friends is a the largest maternity consignment sale franchise in the nation, hosting over 140 events a year in North America Just Between Friends (JBF), the leading children’s and maternity consignment event, has announced a special program to help families that have Graco Alano, Passage, or Spree strollers and/or travel systems that were recalled in 2010 because of potential danger. Persons with any of those models may exchange each for a $25.00 JBF gift card to use at the JBF sale event. JBF will be returning the strollers to Graco, and they will be destroyed. Every year there are hundreds of children’s clothing items that are recalled due to items being unsafe. While our competition passes the responsibility of keeping their customers’ children safe on to their franchise owners, Just Between Friends is the only brand that employs a full-time product safety specialist. “A good example would be if a woman is expecting a baby, she is going to try and get everything she needs,” says Kami Snowbarger, Director of Product Communication, Safety & Recall Specialist with Just Between Friends. “If this woman needs a car seat, she may go to a consignment sale, or she may check on Craigslist to save money. She will not know that the items are safe. We appeal to our customers because they know when they attend a Just Between Friends sales event, everything on sale is safe for them to buy for their children.” JBF sales offer “gently used” and “new” children’s clothing in sizes 0 to 18, maternity clothes in sizes XS to plus, children’s shoes in sizes infant to 6, as well as toys, board and electronic games, DVDs, and books. All clothing items and shoes are inspected before the event for current fashion, stains, and tears, and strollers are checked for safety and recall warnings. Items will be organized like a children’s store, where everything is divided by gender, size, and category. Each event features new and different items. The spring sales will feature spring and summer clothing items.
