After 20 years as a process engineer in the chemical industry, Sue Endle was looking for a career change. She wanted a job that would let her balance family life and ambition. That’s why when the opportunity arose to buy a Just Between Friends franchise in 2016, she took it.
“I had been thinking it was time for a career change, and this was the change I was looking for,” Sue says. “Becoming a Just Between Friends franchisee has given me the opportunity to balance meaningful work with family life. I love running a business that gives me a flexible schedule while also enabling me to give back to the local community.”
Sue owns a franchise in Woodbury, Minnesota, which serves the Twin Cities and western Wisconsin area. She says that Just Between Friends is a great franchise for self-motivated individuals who want to help young families buy and sell their children’s outgrown clothing and items. “The greatest reward for me is knowing that I’m impacting lives in my community,” Sue says. “My business helps moms be moms and express their love for their children by providing for them. It just doesn’t get any more rewarding than that.”
Indeed, Sue has taken giving back to community even further, partnering with New Life Family Services, a charity that helps to educate new parents on how to raise kids and provides materials that young kids need. “Running events in partnership with this charity gives me great joy because it helps so many families, extending my impact way beyond what I could do on my own.”

I’m succeeding as a mom and professional, doing meaningful work. I love working in a business with such a wide range of talented, diverse individuals. It inspires me every day.”
