What to expect in the Just Between Friends franchise application process
Are you ready to start the application process to become a Just Between Friends franchisee? We follow the 10-step process outlined below.
Step 1: Contact us for Initial Conversation with Pre-Qualification Specialist (30 minutes)
Please contact us by filling out the Request Franchise Information form or call us at 866.955.1792. We will send you our Franchise Information Report to review and be in touch shortly to introduce ourselves and the JBF franchise opportunity. If you have already completed this form, congratulations! You are already through Step 1!
Step 2: Submit Application, Check Territory Availability, and Verify Financials (30-45 minutes)
Once the pre-qualification call is completed, we will ask you to complete our Application and submit your financial information. We will be working to make sure a territory near you is available.
Step 3: Introductory Call with Franchise Recruiter (60-90 minutes)
We’ll spend some time getting to know each other during this call. We will get to know more about you and review your goals for owning a JBF franchise. We will answer your initial questions regarding our franchise opportunity and review the JBF owner/operator’s role in running a JBF business.
Step 4: Submit Confidentiality Agreement (10 minutes)
You will need to review and sign a confidentiality agreement. Once your confidentiality agreement is received, you will be sent an email with a link to access to the JBF Franchise Disclosure Document (FDD).
Step 5: Review Franchise Agreement (FDD) with Franchise Recruiter (1 hour)
The FDD, which is the legal representation of the Just Between Friends franchise opportunity, contains a summary of financial performance for our franchise units as well as in-depth information about our processes and operations. We will schedule a call to discuss the FDD and answer any questions you may have.
Step 6: Get to Know our Franchisees: Validation Process (1 week)
At this point you will make calls to a few of our current franchisees (we will supply contact information) to learn more about the JBF franchise experience from their perspective. This helps you hear more about the reality of ownership directly from those who know and understand it best.
Step 7: Finding a Venue: Your Research Phase (2 – 3 weeks)
One of the most important steps in the process of territory development is finding a venue suitable to host your JBF Sales Events. During this step you will be spending time in your community making calls and conducting site visits to determine the location(s) that has the most potential. Your territory will be developed using this critical information.
Step 8: Territory Development Process (30 minutes – 1 hour)
Our Territory Development Team knows and understands how to utilize demographics, the JBF target market, and traffic flow in conjunction with your venue research to set up a territory that will help you succeed in your JBF business ownership.
Step 9: Submit Your Business Plan then Meet Franchise Leadership (1 hour)
We will send over our template to help guide you in creating a short business plan (4-5 pages). Once you have submitted this plan for review, we will invite you to a call with Franchise Leadership. Our team looks forward to getting to know you better through this process to determine if this is a good fit for all of us. After this call, your recruiter will contact you directly to notify you of approval.
Step 10: Sign Franchise Agreement, Pay Franchise Fee, Begin the Jump Start Process and Schedule Training
Once you have been notified of your approval, you will be directed through this last four-part step of finalizing your Just Between Friends business. We will get you scheduled for training as soon as possible so you can be on your way to running your first sale!
