Just Between Friends Franchise Community Impact Award Winners: Shawna Wilfert and Danny Hansen

Just Between Friends Community Impact Award

Tucson, Arizona, franchise owners Shawna Wilfert and her father Danny Hansen are the very first recipients of Just Between Friends’ brand new National Community Impact Award for their work with Tucson Charity, More Than a Bed, which provides support to foster families and their children to cover practical needs.

Just Between Friends Tucson began its partnership with More Than a Bed just two years ago. When JBF learned that the organization had critical needs for donations, they stepped in to help. That was one thing that stood out to the independent judges. The judges also cited the tremendous contribution JBF has already made to the charity:

  • $140,000 in in-kind and cash donations
  • A special, private presale event for families to shop at JBF
  • Donates gift certificates to ten families to offset the costs
  • Cash donations helped purchase cribs, beds, diapers and other necessities

The charity said that the partnership with JBF “has exponentially increased our ability to bless countless families in our community.”

Shawna and Danny  have been helping families throughout Tucson save and make money for nine years.

Congratulations to two of our newest Top Achievers and this year’s Community Impact Award winners, Shawna Wilfert and Danny Hansen of Tucson, Arizona!

About Just Between Friends consignment sales franchise

What started as a small sale in Shannon Wilburn’s Tulsa, Oklahoma, living room in 1997 is now North America’s leading consignment sales event franchise, Just Between Friends. A close knit group of 17 moms consigned in that first sale almost 20 years ago and sold $2000 worth of gently used children’s clothing and items. In 2016, that same Tulsa sale hosted two events and grossed almost $1 million; last year, system-wide sales for Just Between Friends totaled $29.1 million!

We are eager to partner with individuals who have a passion for helping others, giving back to their communities and have an entrepreneurial interest in business ownership. Join Just Between Friends as we work toward of our goal of adding 15 new franchises in 2017 and growing to $31 million in overall gross sales.
