Just Between Friends Named One of the Top 50 Innovative Franchises for 2017 by Franchise Business Review
Independent research data reveals that Just Between Friends franchisees are happy with the brand’s creativity and innovative approach
Just Between Friends is one of the Top 50 Innovative Franchises, according to Franchise Business Review’s independent research data. More than 30,000 franchisees representing 335 companies were surveyed, and the data shows that Just Between Friends is a leader in creativity and innovation. To make this honor even more impactful, Franchise Business Review has featured Just Between Friends CEO Shannon Wilburn on the cover of its special report issue.
“When you think of innovative companies, franchises aren’t typically what immediately comes to mind, but there are certainly brands out there that are pushing the envelope,” said Michelle Rowan, President of Franchise Business Review. “Each of the companies on this list has developed products, processes, or services that have not only given them a competitive edge in the marketplace but have contributed to the success and satisfaction of their franchisees.”
Just Between Friends is honored to receive this award and will continue to pursue new and creative solutions to make the company the best it can be. “This award means so much to us because it comes from our franchisees,” says Erin Patrick, Director of Operations for Just Between Friends. “We strive to find both innovative and creative ways to do business to be a ‘win-win’ organization for our franchisees, as well as our consignors and shoppers.”
Just Between Friends is a leader in franchisee satisfaction
From the very start, Shannon has done things differently from most franchises. The Just Between Friends franchise as a whole was born out of innovation as Shannon saw a need that wasn’t being met. From the very first sale in her living room in 1997, Shannon has tapped into the children’s consignment market in a way that other retailers can’t—by leveraging and involving entire communities and friendship circles so that everyone benefits. She has built the company into a “powerhouse,” according to Franchise Business Review, and the innovative strategies within the company are consistently putting Just Between Friends ahead of other franchises.
Just Between Friends franchisees are highly satisfied because of the unique and welcoming culture of the company. It’s important to Shannon to keep that culture strong as new franchisees join. “We read our core values to applicants who want to join our system and ask how they feel about them. If the core values don’t resonate, we know it’s not going to be a good fit,” Shannon tells Franchise Business Review.
It’s simple, creative approaches like this that add up to a successful company and satisfied franchisees. Just Between Friends has grown to include 159 locations and is on track to add 15 more by the end of the year. The children’s consignment industry continues to grow at a rapid pace, and Just Between Friends is committed to innovation as it supports its talented franchisees all over the United States and Canada.
